About

Travis Windsor-Cummings, photographed against a wood-plank wall

I’m a full-stack software engineer in Memphis. Since April 2022 I’ve owned the technical side of the Memphis Grizzlies’ marketing digital ecosystem: four brands, two of them with mobile apps, and four web platforms that together serve 4.8 million page views a year and $2.2 million in attributable revenue. I set the direction and the weekly priorities, pair with the team, and keep the ticketing and revenue surfaces reliable through on-sales and game nights.

The route here wasn’t direct: five years in a freight yard, a CS50-based program at Tech901, then an e-commerce storefront. It’s laid out below. A selected-work section will follow once I’ve chosen what to show; the résumé holds the full record.

The path

  1. 2010 – 2013

    AT&T U-verse, Wire Technician

Installing and fixing IP television, internet, and phone service in Memphis homes, then walking people through the interfaces once everything worked.

  2. 2014 – 2019

    Estes Express Lines, Hostler

Five years planning yard moves and equipment at a regional freight hub so dispatch stayed on time. Real deadlines, heavy machinery, no second takes.

  3. 2017

“Make progress, not perfection.”, The line that changed the plan

A speaker said it at an event. I had been fascinated by computers my whole life and had never pursued it professionally. That line was the push to change that on purpose, one step at a time.

  4. 2018

    Tech901, Code 1.0, Computer Science

A Memphis program built on Harvard’s CS50: algorithms, data structures, software engineering. By the next summer I was writing production code.

  5. 2019 – 2022

    Elite Deals, Front-End Developer

Built and maintained the storefront where customers browsed and bought, and modernized a legacy jQuery codebase into reusable Vue components.

  6. 2022 – now

    Memphis Grizzlies, Full-Stack Software Engineer

Technical owner of the marketing digital ecosystem: four brands, two with mobile apps, four web platforms. I set direction and weekly priorities, pair with the team, and keep the ticketing and revenue surfaces reliable through on-sales and game nights.

  7. 2026

Tech901 · AWS, AI Engineering · AWS Certified AI Practitioner

Back in the classroom on purpose, this time for AI engineering, and certified on the AWS side of it.
