Hello. I'm Travis.
For most of my life I’ve been fascinated with the science and engineering of computers, but I haven’t pursued the field professionally. In late 2017, a speaker at an event said something that resonated with me. She said, “Make progress not perfection.” It inspired me to make intentional changes in my life, one of which is pursuing, professionally, the things about which I am passionate. Those things are design, art, and technology. This site is a testament to that goal. This will be a space to experiment with new ideas, learn about new and existing technologies, and give me a place to implement my increasing skills as a software developer.
Designing
The way in which things are designed has been a lifelong passion. I am naturally curious, so I enjoy learning how effective design can make or break a product or idea. I believe that great design is fundamental to a brand's success.
Coding
Web development is a means to realize the things about which I am passionate. Technology, problem solving, and creativity are but a few fragments which led me to realize this ambition for coding. In 2018, I began this journey, and I refuse to look back.
Podcasting
Podcasting has become a big part of what I do. What started out as a hobby, has evolved into creating content and learning new ways to connect with listeners from around the world.
Creating
I like to build things. When I'm not building things on the web, you can find me working on home projects or in my constantly evolving workshop figuring out how I can build my next thing.
